While this is good news consider that it literally made people dumber. As such, 5he average intelligence has also risen again.
However, the people in charge might be the ones with the lowest intelligence now.

Yes, indeed. Just read that yesterday on a possibly related report with more lead absorption the intelligence dipped.
could you link it? the flynn effect is that average intelligence has been steadily rising ever since IQ tests were introduced faster than could be explained by genetic variation
I'm sorry, that specific one was just at the time something random that I saw with a lot of other news. So I have no idea where or which it was. But there are enough References to lead and iq like this (German):

(FWIW, it says lead emissions dropped the IQ of those affected by 2.6 points on average, not the average intelligence which has not dropped.)
