Lol, no. That's just a leftist thing, my man. Capitalism requires new markets to expand into, imperialism supplies that.

Imperialism isn't just owning colonies, it's also suppression of competition in markets already established by the empire. That's what the invading everyone with oil that we can in 2026 is all about. It's not just about market expansion (though that certainly can, does, and likely will happen). It's about market domination.

And yes, imperialism is bad when it's done by anyone, not just the west.

I don't think anyone's thinking about NATO in this conversation.

The oil companies outside of Russia aren't exactly benefiting from this, rn. Exxon Mobil was the major player in the Iraqi oil fields that are now being attacked and shut down as a result of the war.

It's more likely that this fat orange fuck is working for Russian interests than some kind of century old American cabal.

It's an unfortunate fact that anti-"capitalist" propaganda is used by Tankies on the Fediverse and their definition of "capitalism" doesn't include their lord and savior Xi Jinping or numerous other affiliated dictators, so yes NATO is part of this discussion.
