Congratulations!
Please don't give your son a pun name, or an "original" name from a recent movie.
You just reminded me of trying to enjoy a video game while some dipshit yelled at his crying baby, Khaleesi, to be quiet so he could focus. The last thing he heard before being booted from the raid was, "The character's name is Daenerys."
Another one! I met a kid named Khaleesi too, I felt so bad. And that same day met a kid named Sephiroth. Like what are these parents thinking? I respect the Sephiroth slightly more though, at least that was the character's name.
Sephiroth is miles better than Catniss FFS!
I like to imagine the parents explaining why they named their daughter Khaleesi. "Well, we thought it was the name of a lady who got sold by her brother to a barbarian warlord, became a queen, and then lost her shit, and burned a bunch of people to death. Oh yeah, there's a bunch of incest and rape in the story too but we'll save that for when you're a little older. And anyway, that's not even actually her name. Turns out Khaleesi is just 'princess' in a made up language."
Agreed completely on Sephiroth. Seph isn't a terrible nickname either.
Look up "Names that mean Princess," there's a lot of them, many quite common. And with some backstories that aren't much better
I know. It makes it even less original and more silly.
"She's not named after the character, guys. She's named Khaleesi because she'll always be my little Princess."
The Artist Formerly Known as Prince did pretty well with his original name.
