My daughter just showed me a picture that had the words "Jay AF" written on it. I know what "AF" means, but what's the "Jay" mean? She went to a cirque du solil show and wrote it on a pic of some shirtless guys twirling around.

Any help from someone more hip than myself?

Jay is a person, and the picture that was written on invokes the same feeling that this Jay does, the picture is Jay AF.

This is most likely the correct answer. Jay Is probably either a classmate she has a crush on, or a celebrity that she she has a crush on.

I'm going to just assume it's Jay Mohr. He's dreamy.

Why is your comment yellow for me? I'm using the browser.

Maybe don't use highlighter markers on your monitor?

(But seriously, it's no different color than other comments in this thread for me. Maybe it was a "new" post for you when you wrote that and the rest weren't?)

You're probably right. I'll stop coloring on my monitor.

Because it was a new comment then, so it got highlighted. As of Lemmy 0.19.0-rc.5 it's orange. Or yellow. I don't know what it really is.
