The idea behind it is you limit the extents of the terms of debate.
It's why we get vigorous debate about the difference between blue Maga and red Maga to the point its the personal ifentity of like 30% of the country but if you suggest socialized Healthcare your a communist who isn't to be taken seriously.
The idea is this window keeps shifting right turning the debate into whether or not we throw minorities under the bus to appeal to racist whites and now suggesting that immigrants aren't the biggest threat the United States faces is now the ridiculous loony lefty position.
