Our streamlined democracy, Their sham election the-podcast

[-] goferking0 62 points 9 months ago

That's one way to avoid uncommitted getting more delegates

[-] JohnBrownNote@hexbear.net 18 points 9 months ago

i think some of them were called off before the uncommitted thing

[-] goferking0 12 points 9 months ago

I know just still funny/sad seeing they actually cancelled some

[-] itappearsthat@hexbear.net 18 points 9 months ago

It was really only Michigan where that was successful unfortunately, Georgia only hit like 3% left blank.

[-] YearOfTheCommieDesktop@hexbear.net 32 points 9 months ago

I mean wasn't minnesota like 20%? enough to win delegates, which is embarassing enough on its own

[-] goferking0 24 points 9 months ago

Only some states have it as an option right?

[-] itappearsthat@hexbear.net 17 points 9 months ago

Correct so other states had varying methods, like in GA all you can do is leave it blank so it had to be inferred by the difference between total votes cast and votes cast for specific candidates.

Election irregularities

The Florida Democrats folks: The permanent opposition party for 25 years in a so-called swing state. A party that is so inept at winning their own primaries that they have to get Republicans like Charlie Crist to do it for them.

AMERICA EXCLUDES PRESIDENTIAL OPPONENTS FROM BALLOT

I mean this very analogous to Russia excluding presidential opposition on their ballots. They even did it on a similar bureaucratic technicality.

[-] Mokey@hexbear.net 21 points 9 months ago

So are uncommitted votes not being counted in every state?

[-] YearOfTheCommieDesktop@hexbear.net 16 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

only 5-10 have that option and actually count them iirc. there's a wide variety of inbetweens too tho

[-] MaxOS@hexbear.net 12 points 9 months ago

I think only some states have "uncommitted" on the ballot

[-] zifnab25@hexbear.net 5 points 9 months ago

Texas didn't have it. Just left the line blank on my ballot (what's called a "spoiled ballot"). So you can see these records show up in the under count.

[-] Hestia@hexbear.net 14 points 9 months ago

0 votes 224 delegates.
