NYT has been going downhill for a while now, and their slant lately couldn't be more obvious. I was a reader for years but ditched my account recently. It's not even the Biden stuff per se, but just all of the reporting quality became more about shock and drama than actual journalism. They used to be great too.

They were never great, they just started saying things you don't agree with.

Fair enough.

I feel like your screen name is an opportunity to point out Harrison Ford saying that when “all of this is over” we can have the “luxury” of examining our actions…

The whole point of Enders Game is to avoid ethics/morality…

It’s wild to imagine the cognitive dissonance in orson Scott card’s mind. He saw some things so clearly and others not at all

As someone who was advised against watching the movie, this comment confused the hell out of me. I didn't even know Harrison Ford was in the movie.

The character's name in the book is Hyrum Graff.

What are you talking about, they never made a movie! Certainly not a terrible one!

[-] todd_bonzalez@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

That's good news.

I read even the really weird books, and none of them were as bad as the movie. They make Petra into a love interest. They also really downplay how hard ender can be, so, you know, entirely removing the purpose of the story.

This is an insane take. Is this some weird MAGA blog or something? Nothing in this ramble makes sense at all.

The New York Times has exposed itself as a corporation that can’t be trusted. The American people are seeing the connection between for-profit, corporate-owned media and how Donald Trump is not held to the same standard as Joe Biden.

And that's why I cancelled my subscription.

I have never before seen a comments section that is all trolls agreeing with each other.

I think it’s an instructive exercise to read all their comments first, picture to yourself what type of article they might be describing, what kinds of arguments it might make or what examples, and then go and read the article and see if it matches your picture.

I don't know anything about a vendetta, nor do I really care... But let me tell you, there are some very strange people in the comments of this post.

I feel like I had a stroke or something.
