"The greatest threat to our nation right now is that we are horribly divided. Why are we so divided? ... I would argue that's what identity politics is about. That's what critical race theory is about"

Of course. What are the chances they'd blame corporate funding of politicians, billionaires, or the oil industry? Or any actual problems? Nope, just continuing business as usual, serving their best interests.

No no, they're going to all suddenly realize the error of their ways and thank the Democratic party for attempring to pass gun control legislation that would've raised the minimum age to purchase an assault rifle any second now I'm sure /s

Granted I don't know what the minimum age is, I assume it's 18, but I don't think raising the minimum age is going to help. Unless you're imagining raising it beyond AARP levels.

In your mind I want you to imagine the typical gun nut in America. Did you picture a white guy who's older, but not quite elderly? Someone in say his 50s?

Yeah. How high do you want to raise the age minimum and realistically expect the motion to pass?

Idk if their legislation was the end all be all for gun control, but the facts are that the Democrats tried to raise the minimum purchase age to 21 and the rally shooter yesterday was 20

I'm exactly that guy, and I vote straight D. Is that what you pictured?

The idea would be to raise to 21 when brains are more fully developed. 18 being the age of majority makes that difficult.

when you blame CRT for a white on white shooting

Polarization of a limited media landscape causing violent rhetoric to become common in daily conversation is what caused it. A group of businesses would rather make money than create stability and prosperity for others. simple as.

Stability makes money, but only beyond next quarter's profits.

"You know what's increasing divisiveness? The study of why we're divided. That's ruining everything."

I just love/hate how ludicrous it is. We're barely one step above uneducated peasants who blame everything on witchcraft.

Can someone just make a montage of Republican divisive and violent rhetoric going back to the 80s when Gingrich started screaming at an empty room about how Democrats are all corrupt and want to destroy the country? I know it’s a big ask to make a weeks-long video, but you could chop it up into 1000 parts or so.
