I don't know why, but there's something so wholesome seeing animals from old photos and films (at least 70 years ago). The same is with paintings and other animals related things from the past i.e. The gravestone of Dewey the cat

Not all that many people could afford cameras back then, and they were rather large. Nice photo of a nice police officer doing a good deed for the kitties 👍

These days you're likely to get thrown to the ground and arrested for taking photos or video of the police.. ☹️
