Likewise Dunlop makes everything even slightly rubbery, from tires to tennis racquets, golf balls and hydraulic hose

but I think dunlop might be a bit of a ghost brand, similar to Kodak, selling their name on cheap electronics

Believe it or not Kodak very much still exists. Film photography is in a resurgence, and plenty of movies are still shot in it. Also a large chemical division. Still nothing compared to its glory days though.

Hitachi is one of those companies that makes just about everything. I've made parts for them that are used in nuclear power generation.

Now I am imagining a nuclear powered magic wand.

If you live in the right area you may already have one!

After a long day operating Hitachi heavy machinery, soothe your muscles with a Hitachi back massager.

Missing the parts for a nuclear reactor and then a cordless drill

The Hungarian Fegyver és Gépgyár (Weapons and Machinery Factory) was famous for two things:

  1. Making 70-80 percent of all Hungarian gas heating tech until they forgot to adjust to newer tech like condensational gas furnaces.
  2. Officially licensed AKM clones, one modified to have a shorter barrel for tank crew.

Somebody needs to make one of these about Gerber.
