You are a person.

I am a different person.

We are not the same.

I go to bed at 6am because I'm not tired yet because I slept for 14 hours yesterday because I went to bed at 6am the day before that...

[-] NauticalNoodle@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Same. This has been the story of my entire adult life and It's so frustrating in it's own right.

[-] haerrii@feddit.org 16 points 2 months ago

We are not the same

and both tired as fuck.

Seriously, why am I as tired after 14 hours of sleep as if I slept for 6 hours?

[-] turbowafflz@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago

I woke up at noon because I tried to drive for 12 hours on 4 hours of sleep a couple days ago and then had to get up early every day until today. Don't do that it turns out

Good thing about my !chronicillness@lemmy.world is that I don't have to adher to society's waking hours anymore.

[-] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 months ago

I'm with you, but not enjoying it

[-] match@pawb.social 8 points 2 months ago

I'm both of these

[-] over_clox@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Wait, you people sleep?

[-] Sam_Bass@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 months ago

i wake up at noon to be conscious when i go back to work for the graveyard shift

[-] GregorGizeh@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 months ago

Let me preach you the gospel of sleeping twice a day for 4-5 hours. I used to have a real slump around (after)noon to the point that i would fall asleep sitting in a chair, naturally resulting in back/neck pain. Now i just take a nice long nap whenever i feel like it, waking up to a refreshed mind.

[-] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I do both and I'm not.
(Not 'not the same', Im just not, I doubt my existence, especially when thoughts get inherent)

[-] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

Big secret: none of us are the same.

[-] ursakhiin@beehaw.org 1 points 2 months ago

I wake up at noon because I'm depressed and went back to sleep.

[-] Trashboat@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 months ago

It’s called being nocturnal!

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I think I would need extremely heavy sedatives to even sleep 12 hours. How the fuck?

Well, that's easy, friend. Have you tried a big heaping dose of depression? That's how I used to accomplish such feats.

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I indeed have. 8-9 hours is a struggle for me.

[-] w3dd1e@lemm.ee 4 points 2 months ago

I sleep for 12 hours and feel like I haven’t slept at all. Same if it’s 6 or 8-9. Just book an appointment with a sleep neurologist. 🤞

[-] fl42v@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 months ago

Well, if you don't sleep for 2/3 days, that comes naturally

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I haven't ever gone more than about 28 hours without sleep. My body just won't stand for that

[-] fl42v@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 months ago

Tbh, I'm kinda too old for that now as well. A few years ago, tho, when winxp sources were leaked, I've spent 2 days trying to build it (rather unsuccessfully, unfortunately) accompanied by 5/6 energy drinks. Tho I might've fallen asleep for an hour or so here and there while looking at build logs, I don't really remember

[-] hakunawazo@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Sleep apnoe, depression, side effects of medicine and so on.
