if you took the average frequency of my posts on hexbear, you'd end up with something remarkably similar but instead of buying twitter the event would be starting estrogen

Imagine having all the opportunities that come with being a billionaire and one of, if not formerly the wealthiest person on the planet, and wasting your life on twitter, not even with good takes, just miserable shit. I mean, that shitty mentality is probably at least partially why he's a billionaire (that and the apartheid $$ growing up), but it's pathetic to a point where one would almost feel sorry for him (until they remember he's a total POS).

He could be literally doing anything else and he's malding on the internet. He could be being a halfways decent dad to his daughter or making even just the community around him somewhat more tolerable and thriving. He could be constantly vacationing anywhere, or building up some comfy community of his own, sheltered (through $$$) from the brutal exploitation of the system he and his peers champion. He could be doing any number of enjoyable things but he chooses to slowly kill himself (and it really is what it is, posting on most of the internet nowadays, no doubt even for chuds like him) through exposure to the worst kinds of brainrot.

At the end of the day, he's almost universally reviled, and it makes me happy to know that thought eats at him constantly.

critical support to that google billionaire who lives in a blimp. At least they're doing something chill with it

So my-hero sleeps roughly from 02:00 to 11:00?

I don't have any real conclusion, it's just fascinating how he's so online that you can determine his sleep schedule from his posts...

I wonder whether he sleeps continuously or whether he wakes up during the night to post. The graph makes it look like the latter, but that might just be due to the X axis spanning multiple years. Would be interesting to see a zoomed-in version where you can actually see the individual days...

Looks like he barely sleeps at all towards the end of the graph. Just posting 24/7 out of his mind on ketamine.

[-] x87_floatingpoint@hexbear.net 5 points 4 days ago

I hope it makes him suffer. I also have a lot of sleep deprivation, and having to stay awake when your brain desperately wants to sleep feels terrible. And then I wake up after finally getting some sleep and I'm still tired. I hope it's that for him, but 100x worse.

Even more remarkable than when he bought Twitter is the spike in posting in summer 2018, and permanent increase after that. He got so involved in doubling down around his beef with a diver in Thailand that he became a recurring main character of Twitter.

There's also an increase in early 2016, I don't remember what that was. But at each of these 3 pivots, he starts posting 4x as much as before.

Seems like something happened in '23 too?

[-] miz@hexbear.net 14 points 4 days ago

he's either getting dangerously low levels of sleep, or he schedules tweets for the middle of the night. maybe both

[-] Bureaucrat@hexbear.net 12 points 4 days ago

There's a story about him waking up other people at 4am so he could tweet (he gave them his phone so he wouldn't tweet)

[-] Bureaucrat@hexbear.net 7 points 4 days ago

Hard to sleep when you're gacked out in a K hole.

[-] RNAi@hexbear.net 20 points 5 days ago

He used to sleep from 6 am to 12 am, now he lost any sleep schedule

This would actually be a good comm here, unlike its reddit counterpart

Yeah what kind of visualization is this? I have no idea how I would begin making such a thing

Added later: Wait I looked sgain, it's actually a simple scatterplot. I just misunderstood what I read
