why don't we do a dot version of this where "there is more money in these several dots than there is in the rest of the world"

the dots would be Elon Musk location, and Jeff Bezos location? The concept of the Valeriepieris circle is a generalize-able concept and can be applied to all spatial data to do some dimensional reduction.
Can confirm, living inside the circle and it is very loud.
