Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

She disappeared after Trump won and hasnt had a thing to say to help the democratic voter base. She needs to sit the fuck down and let someone who actually cares about the voter base and is actually going to fight for their rights run

[–] not_that_guy05@lemmy.world 56 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Get us an actual progressive person that is fuckin young and will fight like AOC.

Not another run of the mill BS.

DNC: But what would the centrist Republicans think!? Centrist Republicans are the new cool thing! We're aiming for their support now! The left is out, in with the center!

Sane speak: We're looking to unlife the Democratic party! Down with us!

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 17 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

You can say kill and die. We’re people here not corporations.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 0 points 1 day ago

I was aiming more for "political suicide", but I know some people are sensitive to that word so I chose not to use it out of consideration of them not any fear of retaliation.

The only thing this poll is measuring is name recognition. She’s not even announced that she’s running. What are we doing?

[–] CarnivorousCouch@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

The comments here reveal that no one actually read the first two sentences of the article. Kind of embarrassing.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well you could probably sit it out again in protest, seeing how well that worked out last year.

[–] xenomor@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It seems that the only thing the Democratic Party is remotely good at, is making me want not support Democrats.

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 9 points 1 day ago (3 children)

If you would have said that before the election, you would have been burned at the stake in this community. Attitudes have changed real quick. lol

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Still tons of people who suck off Biden’s dick as if it were a miracle cure for democracy.

Not that he was ever going to do enough to actually save it.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 10 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Eh you’ll still get downvotes to oblivion on Lemmy.world for pointing out that the democrats suck a massive bag of dicks. That won’t change.

[–] Banana@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

Idk I've gotten some pretty good responses to this:

[–] themadcodger@kbin.earth 5 points 1 day ago

Today's Democrats are the Republicans of 40 years ago. You're not wrong.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Insulting dems is usually not downvote-worthy here. Insulting Biden is not ok with a lot of people. They still want to carve him on mount rushmore. Comparable to George Washington, I'm told. A real man of genius.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

While I appreciate the hyperbole I think most of us are trying to say he got a raw deal. Biden was much better both in policies and what he got done m than people give him credit for … especially given what he had to work with.

A president is always going to be a mixed bag, never exactly what you want, having to compromise essentially everywhere and deal with many conflicting priorities. Yet if you look back at things actually done, Biden signed quite a bit of very positive changes

Of course that legacy is disappearing fast under someone who ignore laws, only cares about his own priorities, lets his corporate benefactors run wild, and whose entire platform is to regress to a mythical 1950s that never was. It’s going to take years, maybe decades, to rebuild a functioning government, introduce what will be legacy technologies with established foreign dominance, get most of the world to trust us again. It’ll take many years to restore human rights, and the ever more broken education system may doom red states to be nothing more than cheap outsourced labor

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

You have to balance that stuff with his support for a far right genocide and his treatment of the defund movement.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

wooden stakes for burning people on are prohibitively expensive now.

[–] lemmus@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What will she do differently to Newsom? “There is not a thing that comes to mind.”

[–] anindefinitearticle@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

She might hire some republicans!

[–] lemmus@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Maybe she’ll endorse Liz Chaney for Governor.

[–] ExtremeDullard 14 points 1 day ago

So the dems want to lose California too? I'm beginning to wonder if they work for Trump...

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Harris and Liz Cheney reunion campaign tour. Maybe if they both shoot their glocks into the air this time she'd win.

Oh my fucking god that is embarrassing

Nobody cares.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

That’s great, then Newsom can start his campaign for 2028!
