Um....why did Zelda turn purple. I don't get it.

. . (I'm joking, I know who is Zelda).

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 38 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hyperlinks are typically blue and underlined. Until you click/tap them, at which point they turn purple.

[–] embed_me@programming.dev 55 points 2 months ago (1 children)

So you're saying Mario tapped Link

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 28 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I get it, I get it, I’m old. Sheesh…

[–] Zucca@sopuli.xyz 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yeah. I wonder if youngsters of this day get this at all.

Good joke none the less. 😀

Why wouldn't they? Links did not stop turning purple, this still happens very often.

[–] Ephera@lemmy.ml 17 points 2 months ago

Well, lots of webpages apply CSS, either disabling the history coloring entirely or at least choosing different colors. It does still happen with blue and purple, but it's not nearly as obvious anymore that these specific two colors refer to that.

Every wiki ever

[–] Flagstaff@programming.dev 4 points 2 months ago

Actually, now that I think about it, accessed links in Google Sheets only change to a different color of blue.

[–] GeneralEmergency@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Let the old boomers have their fun.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

where? i don't remember the last time I've seen a website without custom styling that overrides this.

[–] herrvogel@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

The results of any search engine.

Sometimes. He's usually a teenager of vague age. I think TOTK is the oldest he's ever been, and he's somewhere in the 22-25 range.

[–] from_D4rkness@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

As someone that always customizes their hyperlink colors, it took me a moment to remember that the default was blue and purple to get the joke. If it wasn't for the other comments, I might still be confused.

[–] tamal3@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What colors do you prefer?

[–] from_D4rkness@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Bright green for unvisited, and light purple for visited. Everything on dark backgrounds. I love nightmode on every website, way nicer on the eyes.

[–] Iron_Lynx@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago (2 children)

That still leaves the question: where does he link to?

Back to the past, Samurai Jack

[–] Slovene@feddit.nl 6 points 2 months ago

To rule 34 of Zelda

[–] selokichtli@lemmy.ml 17 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hahahaha, saw it just after waking up and didn't get it. I just had breakfast and it clicked.

[–] RandomLegend@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] Slovene@feddit.nl 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He clicked it too much. Don't worry though it'll return to its previous healthy colour.

This weirdo told me his name and I thought he said "Link", I thought that's a cool name

I just misheard him but he flipped out when he realized my misunderstanding

He went by Shaggy and Steve and a different name every time asked, all arounda shady character, but he'd never thought of calling himself Link

[–] Flagstaff@programming.dev 8 points 2 months ago

I miss the days when Link was left-handed.

[–] webghost0101@sopuli.xyz 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Me: wondering where the sword went and thinking its about link being in rainbow one hit invincible mode.

[–] eselover@lemmy.today 7 points 2 months ago

It is on his back, you can see the hilt through his hat.

Here is why drugs are good for you

I saw this when i was sober and I didn't get it. Now I'm high as a kite and understand why he changed colors.
