Just remember, cops are only there to protect capital. They are not your friends and do not work for us.

It's so nice of the police to form a barrier to keep unsuspecting people from shopping at a Nazi store

[–] joyjoy@lemm.ee 7 points 1 day ago

Or from returning their ~~EVs~~ bombs to the ~~EV~~ bomb store.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 39 points 1 day ago

to be fair they also do this for people who get threatened with rape or other forms of violence.

oh wait no they don't.

American tax payers dollars being diverted to support private organizations while its social services are being gutted.

Musk is a Nazi, and the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi.

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 47 points 2 days ago

Yep. Only way to end fascism is to end fascists.

Yeah but they're at least on a self improvement plan.

The question would be if they would deploy so many police troops to your local, small business or if this is just a benefit of being an oligarch.

I haven't seen evidence of police troops deployed like this to a small business so it's logical to conclude it's a benefit exclusive to oligarchs.

Imagine risking your life to protect a cybertruck

Please let this picture be in grade-school history books for this section of history.

My God that was a depressing read. Just evil triumphant

To serve and protect rich Nazis.

hey! they would also protect rich secular fascists and poor nazis. give them the credit they deserve.

This makes no sense other than politics...

If you ignore politics, why would there ever need to be that many cops there like that?

Like why isn't 3 or 4 enough, or even 1 or 2?

A presence to deter a problem makes sense, this is like a comedy sketch.

The police is always there to protect the status quo. And if the status quo means people and the world are being bled dry by a few psychopaths, then the police are a tool of these oppressors.

[–] Thrillhouse@lemmy.world 44 points 2 days ago

The function of the police is social control and protection of property.

Class traitors.

[–] NightCrawlerProMax@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The problem is not they’re protecting a Tesla showroom. They should stop any and all possibilities of violence. That’s their job. The problem is that they wouldn’t show up for you or your neighborhood small business if they faced the same possibility of threat.

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

I also doubt that a dealership nested in an urban center is going to be targeted by arsons. They're just there to stop vandalism, something the dealership could do themselves by hiring night guards. Instead, the tax payers are paying.

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemm.ee 13 points 1 day ago

Fuck the police that put companies over people. If you’re one of those cops… fuck you.

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 31 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)
[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Can they do the same at every Tesla dealer 24/7??

[–] painfulasterisk1@lemmy.ml 19 points 2 days ago

That's an overkill way to promote "Don't buy a Tesla".

[–] SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's easier for those cops to stand around than doing anything useful for society.

They get paid either way.

[–] qbus@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

But with all the cops in one place, how are they going to get their quotas in?

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Those cops have more important places to be.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

there's a black person in the area to shoot?

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

A job hunting workshop?

[–] AfricanExpansionist@lemmy.ml 25 points 2 days ago (5 children)

I wish someone would run them over with a truck, GTA style

[–] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 15 points 2 days ago

The ultimate laugh would be an out of control autonomously driving car running them all down.

Cops are employed to protect rich people's property, nothing else.

[–] praxis_jack@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

It's always so damn obvious who they protect and serve. Some people just refuse to see it.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

This is more effective and less risky than actual vandalism. Stand out there and be our protest. Good work, cops.

[–] Prandom_returns@lemm.ee 5 points 1 day ago

Might as well do a nazi salute while they're at it.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Was there a threat made against that location? Or did they decide to waste the time of every police officer putting them there as a precaution?

[–] melpomenesclevage@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 2 days ago (3 children)

if they're standing in a line, they're not raping murdering kidnapping or stealing anyone/anything. I'm fully in support of them doing this.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago

Fair point. Police aren't hassling people and this is an effective way to discourage people from going to the dealership. I approve.

May be a good time to draw some inspiration from Ukraine's use of drones.
