I saw this video posted multiple places and I'm still confused on why Hinkle is invited to speak to large international audiences. Reddit titled this video as a "Houthi rally". The watermark logo on the video is Al-Masirah news channel.

if your movement has no leaders, your enemy will nominate them for you.

Ansarallah have plenty of leaders, they're just not going to make public appearances during a US air campaign, they don't want to get tracked down afterwards and die. The most that happened was Brigadier General Yaha Sare'e greeting the foreign delegation inside a building. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi (the leader of the movement) gives daily televised speeches on the state TV channel as far as I can tell, at least he did for all of Ramadan.

This was from the part of the "million man march" where they let a representative from each country of the foreign delegation that was present, give a small speech. The USA's representative was Hinkle.

i believe proletariandictator meant the western left has no leaders, not ansarallah. hence our enemies have given us hinkle

[–] dead@hexbear.net 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

That doesn't really make sense when you consider that Hinkle has ties to Tulsi Gabbard, who is Donald Trump's appointed Director of National Intelligence.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 30 points 6 days ago (1 children)

WDYM? That's what ProletarianDictator meant: the Western left has no leaders, so our enemies (the natsec ghouls) nominated them in our stead.

[–] dead@hexbear.net 8 points 6 days ago (2 children)

The western left has no leaders but Jackson Hinkle is reactionary at face value. All of his beliefs are reactionary and contradictory. He likes Trump but also claims to hate Netanyahu while Trump is aiding Netanyahu. I would think that organizations around the world would see contradictions on the surface level. It's like inviting a clown to speak at your event. You can tell it's a clown by the clown costume.

And yet, he's invited to Lebanon and Yemen by the resistance. Either arabs are fooled by the smooth talking white man, or there's a void in the internationalist anti-imperialist US-based left that is filled by state agents

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 14 points 6 days ago

Yeah, true, but he's an easy punching bag as a result and he has a ridiculous amount of press/influence which reflects poorly on the actual left because we don't have anyone to tell the masses that that's not what we believe.

Tulsi is his handler and her direct ops are the only ones that haven't had their funding pulled

[–] merthyr1831@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 days ago

His twitter fame over gaza has given him a lot of friends in the Arab/muslim world, especially among the conservative types that don't care about his infatuation with fashy rhetoric.

[–] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 37 points 6 days ago

Ansarallah let a representative from all the the different foreign delegations say something at the rally. Unfortunately that included Hinkle.

You should know that this is 100% only happening because he's an asset. IDK whose asset, I feel like Russia is more likely, but he's someone's asset.

[–] Tachanka@hexbear.net 34 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (2 children)

Russia makes more sense. Not to sound like a Russiagate lib, but "we need to make American communists more socially right wing, anti abortion, and anti LGBTQIA+" is the kind of lame ass psy op the FSB would come up with. the CIA just wants to kill us or make us irrelevant, not distort us into neocon trots or something. also notice how the ACP tries to be like "what if we could be Patriotic religious American nationalists and also anti imperialist at the same time" it's very delusional shit that reeks of psy op. but not a homegrown psy op.

I stand by the position that the goal has always been to make communism less attractive to the soft-left that is on the fringe of becoming a communist if they just have the right interaction with the right person or read the right content that gives them a political "Oh I get it" moment.

Those people are mostly soft-left kinda lib-ish brainwormy people. They're deeply turned off by the maga-communists and the mecha-tankies and all this other shit. That stuff all struck me as an op to tar all communists with and thus make people dismiss communist content on the basis of their interaction with it having been... That

Essentially we all get labelled tankies, and then the image of "tankie" in people's minds is the mecha-tankies. Haz and his lot. This has already been somewhat effective among the younger crowd of anti-tankie anarchists and filled up trans communities. And it's been effective in soft-left communities with a lot of libs.

It's thought-termination. It exists to make people terminate their thinking and thus, when confronted by the thing that would have turned them onto the path of communism, they have already turned off their brain and thus do not engage with it.

This is all well within the realm and thought process at the CIA.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 22 points 6 days ago

Yeah absolutely, but OTOH making the most visible person in the US who will call themselves a communist this freak is devastating to the left so I could also see it being a CIA/other NatSec op. He's been with Tulsi, and he apparently gave a speech to some Marines recently too, which I doubt he'd have had the chance to do without someone pulling strings for him.

Russia, USA or Iran, whose guy is he? Apparently he's been living in Moscow for the past few months out of fear of returning to the USA, according to himself. He was also engaged to Miss Russia 2022 for a while. Also has appeared in pictures with Tulsi Gabbard, now US Director of National Intelligence.

[–] bbnh69420@hexbear.net 28 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Honestly, the Tulsi pics were long enough ago (pre SMO) that I could see him having gotten the Z Bag since then. But I've realized there's not enough hard evidence for much of anything. Not sure if Iran is prioritizing white assets (hmu if so), so that's my guess. Why in the world would Tulsi tolerate these associations with apparently anti-imperialist figures and rhetoric? Why hasn't he been arrested immediately? He's a fucking weird dude, that's for sure, but that's about it

[–] darkcalling@hexbear.net 20 points 6 days ago

I mean Oswald who was a CIA asset lived in Moscow for a while too and got the KGB to set him up with a wife so living in Moscow doesn't rule out CIA. If anything something like that can be done to build an asset's street cred for later.

Socialism with nationalism characteristics

[–] cavortingcamel@hexbear.net 24 points 6 days ago (1 children)

this guy's name being weirdly similar to that of Jason Hickle has to be a psyop.

[–] Sulv@hexbear.net 20 points 6 days ago

Yeah i saw this vid, unreal i-cant

Did he just pretended they gathered there just to listen to him?

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 14 points 6 days ago

It's so fucking stupid. Netanyahu is your man's guy, Hinkle.

I can't believe this is the guy representing the US anti-imperialist movement abroad right now. How does the US left do whatever the CIA or FSB is doing to get this guy in all these places? Can't the PSL do something similar?

[–] SmunchBucket@hexbear.net 13 points 6 days ago

This is so wild
