was just going to say this. there's no way his inner circle isn't doing this.
it's almost so telegraphed regular wallstreetbets gambler types have been doing it just by paying attention. there was always that risk he was just playing chicken this time again but looking back it seems obvious this time was for real (that whiteboard did it)
I would be more surprised if he wasn't. The rest of the federal government apparatus is used for insider trading, why wouldn't Donald and Musk be doing the same thing?
I think he has to be doing that along with some cooked up theory that pulling the rug from under the world economy would give the Empire a chance to see economic collapse on its own terms. That way the US is still able to pick off some carcasses from a position of dominance and try to hurt China as well. There has to be some fascist in there that thinks this is the way to reset everything into maintaining US hegemony. I don't think it's going to work though.
So, he's accelerating what would happen as the US loses ground to China/BRICS but also personally grifting at the same time.
