Welcome to "You Don't Matter, Give Up."
This community is inspired by the concept of text that conveys opposite messages when read in a different manner. While it shares similarities with !dontdeadopeninside@lemmy.ohaa.xyz and !nosafetysmokingfirst@sh.itjust.works in that all of these play with the idea of misreading text, YDMGU specifically focuses on phrases that can be read in both directions, with each interpretation being valid and opposites of each other.

I think a crappy designer is a more plausible reason than a designer with a vendetta against contractions.
My guess is the letters are stickers and they ran out of space
