I'm not good at swordfighting, but I love it. I've been struggling to find a non cult kung fu place that teaches weapon techs, so maybe I'll be better at it soon! I'm not bougie enough for fencing and HEMA is too scary to approach.
Don't know about weapon techs, but I have been to a Wing Chun place that I really liked. Maybe I would have learned more about self defence from something like Krav Maga, but I do feel much more confident in my ability to fight back if I need to now
I find krav maga to be kinda gross. Jujitsu + Muay Thai is the same foundations without getting into Israeli traditions.

There's a Wing Chun in my area that I'll probs fall back on if I can't find what I'm looking for.
over the last few years i’ve gotten legitimately good at guitar. it has made me less eager to throw hands for fear of fuckin up my money makers. so indeed i’d probably use my foots and toes more in a fight. not that injuring my legs would be much better (i cook with my lower limbs) but yeah
