It is also considered to be a sign of support for Moscowβs operation and the Russian troops fighting in Ukraine.

People who support Russia use the letter Z as a logo/symbol. Ukraine flag NATO twitter posters also refers to Russian people with the letter Z. The Z symbol does not come from "ruzzia" as OP said. "ruzzia" was made up by libs after they saw the Russian military photos.
