Boneitis, horrible condition.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website 30 points 2 years ago (4 children)

I heard a company came close to finding a cure, but then they were bought out and gutted by some 80s guy.

[–] Tehgingey@lemmy.ca 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)

"I was so busy being an 80's guy, I forgot to cure my boneitis!"

[–] KeyserSoze61@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago

My only regret is that I have boneitus!

Don't you worry about blank. Let me worry about blank.

Blank? BLANK? You're not seeing the big picture!

[–] Sharpiemarker@feddit.de 8 points 2 years ago

We don't know much about him except that he's a shark.

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 4 points 2 years ago

my only regret

[–] Lmaydev@programming.dev 11 points 2 years ago

That's a funny name for a horrible condition.

[–] mateomaui@reddthat.com 19 points 2 years ago

I guess except for the movies where magneto wasn’t there?

[–] communistcapy 16 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ackshually his bones are coated in adamantiun. As we learned after the famous issue where Magneto rips the adamantiun from Logan's body and we get the first appearance of his bone claws.

Ackshully Calcium is also a metal so the post is technically correct (the best kind of correct)

Honestly seems like a nerf considering human bones are stronger than steel.

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 28 points 2 years ago (1 children)

His "bones" are adamantium, not steel.

[–] RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (4 children)

Ok, how strong is adamantium?

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.ml 22 points 2 years ago

Stronger than bones.

[–] halvar@lemm.ee 17 points 2 years ago (1 children)

much strong, at least the comic says so (mucher strong than diamond (very much strong))

[–] RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world -4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (2 children)

Well then it is a nerf as a diamond can be shattered with a hammer

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 years ago

Bone can also be shattered with a hammer though?

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Nearly indestructible, according to the comics.

[–] Ragnell@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I've heard it's stronger than vibranium, but not as strong as Superman.

[–] Daisyifyoudo@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Two fictitious metals from one comic producing company vs a hero from a opposing comic producing company would be hard to compare/ substantiate

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

There is a crossover where Superman is unable to break Doctor Octopus' tentacles.

[–] Noodle07@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Superman is the man of steel, and adamantium is stronger than steel. Checkmate Clark

[–] Ragnell@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah, but Wolverine still needs to breathe so Clark can take him out like the Hulk.

[–] supamanc@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago

Also, bones are supposed to be the sacrificial weak point, to protect the high value organs from shock damage. Having indestructible bones would lead to fucked up internal organs and brain damage.
