every time I've "predicted" something and someone asked me how I knew, my answer was "this already happened in 20xx, you should play mega man"

On the one hand it's depressing that we haven't really moved past this stage of societal development, on the other it's reassuring to know that we have developed correct understanding of the underlying problems.
