If you drift, you can catch them both!

See, this one understands. Combo multipliers are important to winning new high scores!

Ooh, an elementary school playground during recess! engages 4WD

If you whip it sideways you might be able to get them both

[–] AgentOrangesicle@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Good thinking, Agent.

I still remember one of the questions on my written driving test from almost 30 years ago. It was something like:

A group of pedestrians start crossing the road in front of you, just as the light turns green for you. What do you do?

  • Honk your horn and yell at them.
  • Nothing, just wait for them to finishing crossing.
  • Rev your engine to scare them into crossing faster.
  • Hit one to teach the rest a lesson.

I was so tempted to pick the last option.

A, C, and D in that order.

[–] Anomalocaris@lemm.ee 22 points 4 days ago

if you drift you could hit both

New trolly problem just hit!

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Right. How do you hit both?

Or do you lose your pride as a driver?

[–] OwlPaste@lemmy.world 28 points 5 days ago

why is that baby not on a leash!

this car's a lost and blinded fool...oh no I've said too much. I said it all.

[–] usualsuspect191@lemmy.ca 20 points 4 days ago

My truck is lifted so that I can safely cruise over all the babies in the road. Just gotta keep them between the tires.

Buncha Jordan Petersons in these comments. "I simply wouldn't find myself in this moral dilemma to begin with" lmao

[–] Doxin@pawb.social 1 points 8 hours ago

To be fair, if you DO find yourself in this moral dilemma you're a shit driver. People don't just teleport into the middle of a crosswalk. If you're going at such a speed to where a granny can make it 3/4rds across the crosswalk but you're going too fast to stop... you're going too fast period.

Trying to hit all two
But I don't know if I can do it

[–] surewhynotlem@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

Pull the emergency brake, spin the wheel, and drift. You got this.

[–] psoul@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Solution: Never touch Tesla! Confused as to what is so fucking hard about that?

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 8 points 4 days ago

What an idiot. There’s a whole picnic just out of frame that’s had it too good for too long.

[–] match@pawb.social 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

There should realistically be an option for driving off the road into the trees.

[–] Anomalocaris@lemm.ee 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

or not speeding in the first place

[–] drosophila@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Ideally the speed limit should be set such that it would always be possible to stop in time at such crossings. Even more ideally the road would be designed such that it would be impossible to exceed that limit.

Unfortunately there are many places where this is not the case.

[–] Anomalocaris@lemm.ee 3 points 4 days ago

what is that, common sense?

woke bs like that has no place in US urban design

How about driving with at most that speed that would allow you to break to a full stop inside the range you can see. Or within half that range if the street is to narrow for another passing car.
