Pedos helping pedos. MAGA is the party of pedos!

[–] tane69@lemmy.world 31 points 1 week ago

Like 90% of conservatives are pedos and 99.9% of MAGAS are, the only ones who aren’t are likely children themselves

Between this and Epstein it's really hard not to put two-and-two together.

Trump's Justice Department weighed in too, calling the law "anti-Catholic" and saying "a more direct burden on the exercise of religion would be difficult to imagine".

The fuck it is. There's plenty of easier burdens to imagine than making priests mandated reporters for child sexual abuse, such as:

  • Banning them from holding public positions.
  • Outlawing the practice of religious ceremony in public places.
  • Making tithing illegal.
  • Disallowing religious symbols outside of private residences.
  • Removing tax exemptions for religious organizations.

See? It's really not hard. And those are far worse for Catholics than not being allowed to protect pedophiles.

Next we’ll find out Trump was a preacher.

For the record, the arguably more egregious offense here is that the Catholic church feels the same way about confessions of murder. A serial killer could confess every kill to their priest every time it happens, and the Catholic church will not allow the priest to report it, period.

Add it all to the list of crimes against humanity the Catholic church has been guilty of over the last 1500+ years.

There's a great Hitchcock movie about murder and confession and a priest who cannot protect his own name because of the seal of the confessional. I highly recommend watching:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Confess_(film)

The seal of the confessional is so strict that if a man confessed putting poison in the communion wine before Mass, after leaving the confessional the priest could not act on that information, even if it meant drinking the wine at Mass and dying.

[–] Blumpkinhead@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wouldn't the priest only be prevented from revealing who put the poison in? Why would he not be able to prevent anyone from drinking it?

[–] 52fighters 1 points 5 days ago

The seal requires they act outside the confessional as if they never received the information. Anything else could make apparent to others what happened in the confession through context and clues.
