I got one of those handheld emulator guys, it came with a ton of trash roms. So I go to mame and hit random a few times and play for one credit.

I've been playing Death Stranding 2 as often as I can. It's gorgeous, the plot is a decent pickup from the first one, if heavy-handed with the exposition, and relatively well voice acted, aside from some wooden line delivery from Norman Reedus. It's hard to tell if it's a direction thing or if he just didn't know what the context was for some of the script. Either seem likely.

Sometimes I still play Fortnite with a dog park friend, but I'm pretty sick of superheroes, so this season was kind of boring from the beginning.

For solo play this week it's been an Ace Combat-like in Project Wingman. This is my second playthrough and I'm now on the hardest difficulty which is infuriating but it sure gets the blood pumping. Awesome game with incredible visuals.

I've been playing the various Zelda multiplayer games with my friends recently. We started with Triforce Heroes emulated on Azahar which is a 3-player dungeon-looter. After we beat it and all its bonus content (there is a lot) we're headed to Four Swords on the GBA (VisualBoyAdvance-M has netplay) and then Four Swords Adventure on GC (via dolphin netplay).

Other than that I've been playing a bunch of Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour on dolphin netplay which has a controlled host-migration feature which means 0-input latency for the player whose turn it is. If you aren't familiar with dolphin netplay it rules and feel free to ask if you get confused setting it up.

Azahar

Wow. This is the first I'm hearing of this. Thank you for the tip.

I want to get into the Pathfinder games, but I can't for some reason. Might give it another go

They feel so extremely thick to start and then taper down as they go on but goddamn, I also just bounce off of them from so many decisions I have no scope or understanding of. Really like Divinity Original Sin 2 though so if you haven't you might really love that game.

I picked up some cheap stuff on the Steam sale, but I'm replaying Death Standing 1 to prepare for Death Stranding 2. Knowing how 1 ends along with the premise for 2 is interesting as I'm seeing strands (heh) of the plot woven very early in the game. Looking forward to 2 as well.

I bought Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on the recent Steam sale. It's a metroidvania that came out recently and got great reviews. Played 3 hours of it so far and it's super fun. Moving around and fighting enemies both feel great, which is the most important thing in this type of game.

Taking a break from playing games this week but I recently finished Lies of P. For anyone who likes the FromSoft Souls games, this is a must-play. The combat is tight, the parrying system is very satisfying (liked Sekiro? Then you'll like Lies of P), the world is well crafted and thought out, the lore drops are fantastic, the story is actually well fleshed out if you do the digging required to catch the details, and is quite moving. The game is difficult, but the fights feel pretty fair.

I liked it more than Elden Ring.

I'm playing a pokemon emerald romhack, Emerald Imperium. I am a casual when it comes to pokemon and I hate looking shit up so it's pretty hard for me.

Just fought a random gym leader (Maylene?). She has a Kingambit that she sends out last that absolutely demolished everything I had. She has some other brutal pokemon too, like Garganacl and Mega Lucario, so fighting her was super frustrating. I eventually gave in and looked up what people do against it, and then my Tsareena one shot it, no problem. screm-a

chugging along in dark souls 2 and bloodborne. Took blue acolyte off ds2 and it was actually a lot of fun getting invaded.

Also playing peak with my friends. It’s fun but it’s also one of those games that get people a bit too worked up.

I was making headway toward the back end of Saints Row 2 but I encountered a glitch that's made progress impossible. I'm on a mission that requires me to escort Shaundi doing something at the Stilwater Police HQ, but when I get there she is replaced by an random npc who seems to just run around in circles. Google search tells me it's related to a mod but I don't have that mod running.

Other than that I've been playing Arcade Paradise, probably the most charming iteration on those "50-in-1" games. If it were a real game, I'd have spent hundreds of dollars trying to rack up a high score on Stack Overflow, and Space Race Simulator could have given both Outrun a d F-Zero a run for their money.

Playing Portrait of Ruin since I downloaded the dominus collection cause I liked the game as kids and despite realizing I kinda don't now, im seeing it through. Ive heard Order of Ecclesia is really good, don't think I played thar one back in the day.

Im the rare guy who actually plays guilty gear instead of...whatever other people are doing with it lol. So continuing to grind guilty gear, sf3s, a little trackmania, and a whole lot of The Bazaar with my gf. Good times!

Rematch
Tony Hawk
and of course, Monster Train 2

I cannot for the life of me beat a Covenant 9 run on any of my decent strats yet, so i've just been grinding other factions to level them up and try to figure out some good combinations.
It's not even the lowered HP that's really doing me in, I just had godly RNG on like Covenant 4 and 5 and I haven't had anywhere near as good a setup since then.

The mushrooms do be growing

[–] Mindfury@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago

also, I finally fixed the sticky triggers on my xbox controller I use with my PC, so might even get Forza again or hopefully will just be better at Rematch

Got Silent Hill 3 up and running on an emulator.

I've been playing through a bunch of survival horrors recently.

Once I'm done with SH3 I'm split between moving on to Forbidden Siren (which I've always wanted to play but never got 'round to yet) or Piglet's Big Adventure (which I heard about last year and've been curious about ever since).

I haven't, just opened a few games and tested them - I bought a water cooler and have been trying to get the overclock settings right so I can continue Clair Obscur. On windows Ryzen Master took care of it but I moved to Linux so I'm having to do it through the bios now.
I really don't really understand why overclocking the CPU lets it run properly, from what I've read I kinda suspect it's UE5 causing a voltage spike, but it seems to have worked and nearly doubled my FPS in Darktide, so I'm happy with it.
