Change the name to the

Washington Rapists

and use a stylized profile of Trump's orange face and ugly blonde hair as the new logo

Orangeskins!!

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oooh. I can see that being a favourite in the voting, but not on the field.

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No one wants to chant "let's go rapists!"

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 week ago

Maybe I should have said no one should want to chant that.

Actually, trump would have been fine talking about epstein.

The real issue is, trump shouldn't have SEXUALLY ASSAULTED PEOPLE! Yes, minors are included in that, but I feel like the minors part has become the only talking point, while ignoring the sexual assault and rape part.

Let's imagine epstein island exactly as it was. With one change. All the women he raped were 20. In my opinion people should be equally outraged as they are now.

That being said, I'm NOT saying anything defending or downplaying the fact that they were minors. I'm not defending pedophilia in any way. It's absolutely wrong, and disgusting on every level. Full stop.

I'm just saying that it feels like everybody is maing this more about age, than the act behind it.

Right now, maga seems to be the one driving the push to put pressure on trump, despite everybody across the board being horrified. And right now it feels like a LOT of that push wouldn't exist had the girls been 20.

The outrage is infinite, by which I'm referring to how there's different levels of infinity. They're all infinite but some infinities are greater than others. The victims being young girls makes something already outrageously bad, even worse

If you said they were 20, and in New York, with a working and easily accessible elevator, it’s not a big deal. If they are 20, on a deserted island… well it’s the implication.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 2 points 1 week ago

Well... Obviously

If it were 20 year olds Trump could go out there and say "I did what you would do if you could, my critics are just jealous losers" like he usually does, muddy the waters a bit, and his base would buy it. In a week they'd be victim blaming on Fox like normal

Except you just can't say that about kids. People aren't going to be like "yeah, anyone would rape a kid if they have the chance, right?" At least not out loud

Plus, there's a solid chunk of his core that actually support him because they think the pizzagate stuff is real, and the Epstein files are the conspiracy theory they redirected the crazies to. Except this one is very real, and they're doing a cartoonishly obvious cover up

I wonder when we’re gonna start calling the Streisand effect the Trump effect

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 week ago

Please don't. The fat cunt has his name attached to far too many things as it is.
Once he dies it would be good to never hearing it again.

I would be ok with it being changed to the Epstein effect though.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 5 points 1 week ago

There's so many Trump effects already, nobody'd know which one you're refering to.

Fake news, Trump is obviously incapable of running

[–] troybot@midwest.social 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Donald "Whatever" should IMMEDIATELY change their family name back to Drumpf. There is a big clamoring for this. Likewise, Rafael "Ted" Cruz.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago

Rafael “Ted” Cruz.

What's his family's original name? Kreutz?

[–] Zagorath@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Wait I'm ootl, what does the Washington gridiron team have to do with anything?

[–] you_are_dust@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

Trump is demanding that they change their name back. Because how we refer to things is absolutely the most pressing matter at hand.

[–] MrVilliam@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 week ago

It doesn't, and that's the point. He's throwing lots of random shit at the walls in desperate attempts to distract from the Epstein files. And it's not working.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Change the name to Redskein Islanders.
