i don't think adn is a good service. It's available in germany as well and some translations are just horrible, the website is just half translated, some apps available in germany are just in french and the ui of the website sometimes just disappears.

I know this is about buying European, but piracy is still more moral.

Subscriptions are evil, American or European. Piracy and ownership are good.

Straight up just pirate anime. Buy merch if you like it and the company will make more money. It's actually criminal how little actually goes back to the studios.

Those arenโ€™t comparable at allโ€ฆ ADN is more niche since last year or so. I keep both as some very French content is only on ADN but it has very few of the nice licenses. Also isnโ€™t Crunchyroll owned by Sony? A Japanese corporation and not a US oneโ€ฆ

Crunchyroll is owned by Sony. So not sure why people are calling it American.

The headquarters of the company is based in San Francisco, California, USA.

Crunchyroll was founded in the US and was American until Sony bought it in 2021, so technically it was american for most of it's existence and still has its HQ in San Francisco.

Another good reason to boycott Crunchyroll.

Nissan is owned by Renault. So not sure why people are calling it Japanese.
