Yeah, reading a 650 page textbook larger than the textbooks I have to read for my actual degree. It's very interesting but it feels very crushing sometimes

I'm saving capital for after my degree tbh. I can't read that and my other 6-12 books a semester

Just reading Marx's two essays and the first chapter of Das Kapital will be enough. I did that when I was busy with school work in University. You can read the rest after graduating.

why do you make this to me, comrade? i know marx is difficult, but you'll get further if you skip the math parts of kapital to get to the good theoric stuff

I read so little Theory. I'm crushed by working two full time jobs, one to support my family, another pursuing a master's degree. I feel hopeless at times. Totally burned out. (At least I should finish my degree soon and get some "rest".)

Have you considered audio books or video summaries?

[–] prof_tincoa@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 month ago

I've considered it, and I listened to some shorter essays. Sadly, it doesn't solve the main issue of not having enough time and energy to engage with deeper texts. I probably will be in a better situation next year, though.

When I get a new book from the library I'll flip to the end to check and see how much of it is glossary/sources bull shit. Helps me manage the mental load a little

I do, I have read little theory, I get so tired. I just let something run in the background while I take a nap or do my studies for law school. I try to watch yt vids which are reliable and given as sources by many people and study those things much as I can
