Note: I am a Canadian who's social media history would definitely get me barred from Trump's america, and I am tired of how badly American politics affect my life.
By my count, that's at least a 70-year window. I should mention that the public at the time might not have thought of it that way. Some of the blood-for-oil conflicts were branded as anti-communism. They might have been that, too, that is, keeping the oil out of Soviet hands.
Edit: changed "ant-communism" to "anti-communism." Sorry for the goof. Obviously ants are still monarchists.
