Oh no! He broke the law. Did someone let him know? Surely he wouldn’t be comfortable breaking the LAW.

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 days ago

It would be hilarious if this is what finally took him out.

But it won’t revise he’s a billionaire* and scrotus will let him do anything he wants.

Because he altered with the Epstein files, or because he fucked kids?

Because he [redacted] the [redacted] [redacted]!

Did anyone expect President Politically Exposed Individual to do anything else?

[–] Jumbie@lemmy.zip 29 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Who’s gonna give him any penalties? Congress? Supreme Court?

[–] danekrae@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago (2 children)

The american people, if they had any courage.

Sorry, my limits are voting at every single opportunity and speaking up if I hear Republic卐n lies.

Violence doesn’t solve anything for me personally and instead exposes those for whom I care to fascist treatment.

People like me disappear. That wasn’t hyperbole.

You're not wrong, you're just blaming the wrong people. Being vocal about the problem but hesitant on some actions because they are the target and would be the first to disappear is not the same as the silent or ignorant ones who do nothing.

And I see a ton of you doing nothing because it doesn't affect you.

I can assume from your comment, that you haven't read anything about my country lately...

[–] Jumbie@lemmy.zip 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

They already came for me. I’ve done all I can.

[–] danekrae@lemmy.world -1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Do you know where the prison is located? I'm sure you can find out since there is internet.

Maybe we can get you help.

To someone on the receiving end of fascism, there is nothing more distasteful than fake-outrage trolls eager to minimize suffering.

Fuck off.

[–] danekrae@lemmy.world -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Fuck off.

Such a grown-up response. I won't bother you anymore, so you can go back to hiding and cowering.

I do think there will be a slow movement for accountability coming, starting with taking back congress next year. Once that happens, I do think heads will roll, but we'll see.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 9 points 4 days ago

.... And? Did anyone expect anything else?

[–] TheJesusaurus@sh.itjust.works 10 points 4 days ago

Trump broke the law?? Oh my god! When is he being arrested??

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 8 points 4 days ago

The law comes from the divine right of kings, silly. The king can’t break the law.

[–] paris@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 3 days ago

I know I'm preaching to the choir but I'm so sick of passive voice reporting. "Critics accuse Trump of" is such a pussy way of saying "Trump did." Like he's being accused of this, but that's because he did it. This does flagrantly break the law. And saying this complaint is coming from his critics is ridiculously dismissive. I wish the headline writers at any major news orgs had half a backbone. Al Jazeera is the only major outlet I can think of that doesn't do this shit constantly, and a smaller outlet is Futurism but they don't do original reporting

[–] zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

So Trump is a politically exposed individual, but Bill Clinton is not.

Either censor all or nothing. DOJ will have a hard time arguing why one is censored and the other not, leading to uncensor all individuals except for victims or unrelated people, such as former employees.

If they're releasing pics of Clinton, that implies to me that he isn't the subject of an ongoing investigation. This actually makes him look more innocent.

Oh my, I'm sure the fat orange child rapist will see justice this time!!!

[–] capuccino@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Literally are the "Epstein Files". We just see Epstein there
