That could be anyone's funeral.
Obviously the kid saved dad and then he bought him the robot cosplay suit using the money from the second wish.
The funeral is for someone that passed and loved that robot so the kid attended in the suit to show his respect.
If it was the dads funeral or a close enough relative to share a magic lamp they would be sitting closer in front.

Just imagine him sitting in front, blocking everyone’s view. Then again this is not like a cinema. Would anyone care about obstructed view at a funeral?
Definitely not if the person who is doing the obstructing is a close family member to the diseased wearing their emotional support outfit.
It's the funeral for everyone that kid gathered in front of him. He will fit them all into that one coffin.

The plot twist:
The first wish was giving him a failing kidney. The second, make him forget that.
plot twist, he thought deep in his heart to save his dad, and said "I wish what I wish the most". the genie took the chance to twist the words and see that for 3 years he wanted a mechsuit, and only in the last few months he wished for his father to heal. So the genie granted him the thing he wished most (of the time).
Parental love is temporary, mech suit is permanent
At least until it breaks.

My guess:
- mom got first dibs, chose to GTFO of there
- dad was up next, wished for like unlimited beer or something that messed up his kidneys
- this is like a week later, kid finally demands his turn

The mech suit could have been wish one or two.
first wish was for the mech suit. second wish was for the son to be happy. the third wish was for the father to not have to suffer.
