  • Brush: Wolf Whiskers - "Gianmaria" w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic

  • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Roam Two - Soap
  • Post Shave: Chicago Grooming Co. - Frankie & Myrna - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Declaration Grooming, House of Mammoth - Cerberus - Liniment

As far as I know, I've had a 5.5 year streak of shaving every day. I even brought a razor to the hospital when our kid was born. I broke the streak! I've been on a little ski trip with 6 other friends and it seemed like a good time to let it go. It reminded me that I don't really like having facial hair.

This shave was really nice. Great soap, scent, and razor. Super close shave.

Sample kill. Great lather performance from Stirling and a good medium strength scent. Bay Rum has a nice clean scent to my nose; I don't think it'll make it to my shopping list though.

It's interesting to me that the Tabac EdT is different than the EdC. EdC (splash) starts very peppery and lands on the expected Tabac Original scent in dry-down. EdT (spray) doesn't have the big pepper note at the beginning and lands on a fuller version of Tabac Original in dry-down.

Have a good one.

  • Brush: Summer Break Soaps - Unbleached Zenith 28mm Boar
  • Razor: GEM Micromatic Open Comb (Gen. 1)
  • Blade: Accuforge GEM Microcoat (18)
  • Lather: Mike's Natural Soaps - Orange, Cedarwood, & Black Pepper - Soap
  • Post Shave: Mennen - Skin Bracer - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Oleo & Co. - Facial Toner - Toner
  • Fragrance: GLHF Workshop - Atriox - EdT

Almost to the end of this tub, maybe 1 or 2 shaves left.

For an old school splash with simple ingredients, I do quite enjoy Skin Bracer. The scent works really nicely with Atriox as well. Very nice!
