Rose theme today scentwise. I've had this soap for a while, it's actually on the old Chicago grooming base, not the new one, and use it sparingly cause I never saw it available after I bought it. But - I saw that it was available recently in the new base (sold out currently). Hoping it's available again soon and I can grab some. Scooped so as to use as little as needed, into the Captain's Choice bowl and loaded and lathered in the bowl.
Word on the street is that CGC is working on a reformulation of Rougere for release this year. I'm looking forward to trying it out if/when that happens!

Super great lather. I'm enjoying this razor, it just needs a bit of buffing and the shave is super close.
I sat down next to my kid on the couch and he said "you're stinky, go away". Thanks, LLP.
I haven't used Summer Storm in quite some time. This was one of the first soaps that got me really excited about shave soap fragrance. This soap brings me back to the summer monsoon season in northern New Mexico every time. Lovely!

How are you able to use a blade so many times?? I guess it is pretty different from a DE blade? Does the comfort of the shave degrade over the life of the blade?

Yeah, GEM blades tend to last longer than DE blades. I can pretty comfortably use them for 20-25+ shaves.

I don't think the comfort degrades too much, but you'll definitely notice a drop in efficiency over time. Often palm stropping the blade will bring it back into a usable place, but sometimes it's just done.
Still a great scent in Stirling's mutton base <3
