Anything to avoid policy discussion.

The whole party seem unable to distinguish younger adult voters from grade-schoolers.

Making your brand a meme when memes are notoriously transient is such a stupid thing to do

It's perfect that they picked an entirely meaningless meme too.

We proudly stand for nothing and are desperately grasping for cultural relevance.

They should appeal to nostalgia, call it All Your Vote Are Belong To Us.

Especially when the meme in question is predicated on being unfunny and annoying in the first place. Naming a campaign after an anti-joke that's not even a good anti-joke is exactly on brand for a completely vapid charisma vacuum that disingenuously and clumsily trails after vibes with palpable cynicism, though.

I'm hoping they keep changing the name to stay relevant. If they're led by GenZ they should understand the meme-cycle.

I'm not really hoping tho, because I don't care about the Kamala Harris Gen-Z led hub for progressive content. There's already some amazing progressive and socialist content groups that they should just boost instead, like More Perfect Union. They put out a ton of high quality content that's genuinely very left-wing, but at the same time they do a good job of making it appeal to the common person. PSL actions have been the focus of a number of their videos, but usually they just name the front group, while still showing footage of PSL people in PSL shirts, with PSL signs.

like More Perfect Union.

That would require her to be actually progressive.

all Kamala had to do to win the elections was say "maybe killing kids is kinda bad" and then apologize to them behind the scenes

The funniest thing about this is the people who actually find the 6-7 meme funny won’t even be old enough to vote in 2028.

I'm a college student and was surrounded by constant 67 jokes up until a couple months ago. but at this point it's a dead meme

[–] oscardejarjayes@hexbear.net 16 points 1 day ago

Yeah, I used to be seeing it a lot online, but now I can't name the last time I've heard or seen 6-7, it's been so long since it's relevant.

In internet meme, a month can be ages, dozens of memes probably go through a whole lifecycle in that time.
