  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

It's there a video of this where we can hear them? They were censored completely.

Basically all American news is censored and fake now.

Anything that could upset the government is removed.

I feel I need to speak out on behalf of smaller, independent outlets that still do real work in the USA. I listen to a few podcasts myself.

That’s fair, the large and billionaire owned news os bad though, and that’s all the mainstream ones.

It's almost* never a good sign when a German term has an English Wikipedia page.

* notable exception: Rechtsstaat

Same thing Eurovision lied about doing for the apartheid promoting contestant.

Never trust profit-obsessed media conglomerates to stand up to fascist regimes unless you force them to by ruining profitability.

IOW: everyone should boycott the Eurovision song contest, NBC, and all companies associated with them in any way.

profit-obsessed

Aren't all for-profit companies obsessed with profit? At the very least those with stocks. Yes, it's an obsession, but it's so normalised that writing it out feels like a pleonasm.

Next, they’re going to only show sports where US athletes win.

Since it’s the Winter Olympics, they’ll start editing to make it look like US athletes win every time. Like in North Korea.

Or, even better. They should show that Trump represents the country in every single discipline and wins.

Next year, The Trump Games. Trump competes in all events and wins them all. No expense spared. No other competitors allowed.

It would be hilarious to see Trump on skis though, or in pretty much all other olympic disciplines. 'Old man tries not to die on ice' is a show I might watch.

I'd pay good money for the Mango Mussolini to compete in the bobsledding, luge, downhill skiing, ski jump, or any other event where the poorly prepared face a significant risk of severe injuries up to and including death.

[–] Evil_Incarnate@sopuli.xyz 4 points 16 hours ago

Most of the events will only be done in ai.

don't they actually have something like that in russia, like their top hockey team has to fake losing to putin like he's a make a wish kid?

Edit: found video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgbI55HdqQs

[–] vpol@feddit.uk 4 points 19 hours ago

Unfortunately, this year he’s going to threaten every country that wins.

Someone had an empathic sympathizer to make that call. Poor choice. Our creep of a veep has displayed subhuman views on multiple occasions. He should be treated as an invasive species. Tarred, feathered and vasectomized by a mob. We don’t wish him dead. Just the aforementioned.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions" JD Vance probably

Where did he get those gloves? Did he Buffalo Bill a nice L-shaped from the Ethan Allen Collection?

I’m not surprised, honestly — as best I can tell, this is pretty common. I watch a fair bit of the USWNT, and you can hear sudden drops in the crowd noise every once in a while. I assume it’s by the same logic as why they don’t show pitch invaders. But! You should go to live sports and shout things anyway because the people in the stadium can definitely hear you.
