Wholesome ❤️

I live this series. Is there anywhere a collection where I can see them all?

[–] crater2150@feddit.org 17 points 8 hours ago

The artist David Revoy has a home page with all of them: https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/webcomics/miniFantasyTheater.html

You can also find Pepper & Carrot there, a comic with a larger format and longer episodes.

He uses only open source software and also publishes the Krita source files for every comic.

Here’s the artists Mastadon where he posts them. Not sure if he’s got a website with them all or not.

The no ai club with just 3 people is so real, unfortunately...

Step 1: Make an anti-AI post on Lemmy.
Step 2: Profit.

And now it’s your turn. Say I’m slop or something trendy like that.

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 1 points 41 minutes ago

You sound predisposed to being insufferable.

Do you also uphold this same standard for those, who say murder, child sexual abuse, animal abuse, etc. are bad? At least two of those three mentioned has way more performative activism attached to them, than to anti-AI, with most performative anti-AI activism coming from AI-grifters (!) themselves generating anti-AI propaganda, and/or those who only concerned about AI use in their own field.

Just because someone thinks even self-defense should be illegal due to "murder is bad even if the murdered is bad, uwu" doesn't make murder not bad.

Just because someone thinks lolicon and not having pubic hair is literally pedophilia (or at least "normalizes" it) doesn't make child sexual abuse not bad.

Just because someone thinks meat is murder or posts "let's call John Wick!" on even the smallest forms of animal abuse (or even fake ones) doesn't make animal abuse not bad.

And just because of anti-AI sentiments being popular even among some AI users for some parts doesn't negate the negative impacts of generative AI on the society. Boomers will still be fooled by them (even I can be if I don't use a magnifier glass every time to check for artifacts - at least convincing photoshops like that old image of Osama Bin Laden, George Bush, and Barack Obama being photoshopped onto the bodies of rabbis took effort from nazis to create, not just googling how to jailbreak advanced models), scammers are going to use it to augment or automate their scams, grifters are going to use it to spam "art" to get ad revenue for their first Porsche, the gas turbines are pollluting the environment, the people behind it are snake oil salesmen, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera!

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 1 points 35 minutes ago

They never have concrete rebuttals to thought-out replies. If it was a matter of thinking, they wouldn't be going to bat for generative AI. Good work though.

If only you could profit from it

[–] morto@piefed.social 17 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

You give me a great idea! I will create a lemmy instance with ai-powered upvotes running in a blockchain so that people can profit from it /s

[–] Shortstack@reddthat.com 4 points 17 hours ago

I think you should integrate NFCs in there for more profit potential

Those up arrows are worth more than gold

[–] alzymologist@sopuli.xyz 13 points 21 hours ago (4 children)

Once I made an elaborate anti-AI post that looks like pro-AI one if you fail to read it; got heavily downvoted, ignored and banned. That was worth more than any amount of up arrows. Pure bliss.

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 13 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

You expected people to read? On the internet?

Yeah, that's a mistake.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago

2 paragraph comment?! TL;DR?

[–] Dagnet@lemmy.world 8 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

Made a comment saying a meme is probably AI slop. Got heavily downvoted because it was a 'known' meme template, even had some guys calling me a 'whiteknight' and 'AI paranoid'. Edited the post and told people to look at the woman's face in the meme, it was all deformed. Downvotes became upvotes, upvotes became downvotes, felt better than sex.

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

Good on you. Silly humans.

[–] morto@piefed.social 6 points 19 hours ago

Link or didn't happen

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

Haha ah blind absolutism at its finest

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 2 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Can I pay people in upvotes from Lemmy?

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

You can pay them with all the pride, dignity and false confidence you’ve generated from all those upty dupties

[–] ace_garp@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago

David Revoy is a planetary treasure.

Avian Intelligence XD

[–] errer@lemmy.world 7 points 17 hours ago

If only it were “super easy” when it’s being shoved down our throat by pretty much every company on the planet…

[–] LucidNightmare@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 20 hours ago

I really enjoy this art style. Thanks for sharing these!

[–] savvywolf@pawb.social 8 points 20 hours ago (4 children)

Microwaves were the future of cooking. Look at how that turned out.

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 1 points 51 minutes ago

The science was sound and built on a reliable use of electricity for output that people tried to get clever with but eventually settled into a more casual relationship with instead of expecting anything amazing from?

I mean honestly yeah probably will end up similar to microwaves where local running versions that people operating it are ok with lower quality will use, use it and its considered gross for professional setups.

Good comparison.

[–] Dojan@pawb.social 20 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

I think a lot of people in the west are kind of sleeping on the capabilities of microwaves. They’re fantastic.

That’s not an endorsement of AI.

[–] morto@piefed.social 4 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago) (2 children)

After having 2 microwaves barely lasting more than a year in sequence, I decided no never have one again and rely on a small electric oven. It's not the same, but it's also great to use and it's lasting 5 years so far. I don't even miss a microwave anymore

[–] Dojan@pawb.social 11 points 19 hours ago

Wow. That’s some shit luck, and I definitely get why you’d choose to not have one.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 9 points 19 hours ago

Don't think we've had one last less than a decade.

But if you don't need one, you don't need one. No need to clutter your home with another appliance just because it can occasionally heat up leftovers in a minute or something. I find it convenient but I've also lived without it and it was fine.

[–] irelephant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 18 hours ago

Literally everyone has a microwave though

[–] YaksDC@sh.itjust.works 6 points 17 hours ago

Lots of professional kitchens use Chef Mike.
