Anyone making excuses for Chomsky is doing the same exact thing the magats are doing for their pedo king

and parenti's work is much more insightful anyway.

fuck chomsky.

I always heard his linguistics work was better but I guess that was always more about military research for human-machine interfaces with a low skill level (in case technicians die in harrowing cold war scenarios), and it ended up sabotaging phonics. Which is funny af because my mom loves Chomsky and her whole life's work has been brainwashing kids with phonics. She only got the diet Parenti messaging ig

Not being super familiar with Chomsky because I never cared for him, but IS he even a leftist? Afaik his thing is about non-materialist individualism, which seems suspiciously neolib. In the modern post-neoliberal context, I think we can mostly all agree that individualism and socialism are in direct conflict, despite the economic liberation of socialism being required for individual economic freedom. In the feudal stage of capitalism we have returned to since the 90's I would argue Chomsky, based on my limited knowledge, is actually a center-right neoliberal figure in the mold of a Habermas.

putting leftists is quotes in very fitting here.

Novara is libbed up but they write good articles occasionally. I put them in the Zeteo tier.

This is really missing the forest for the trees. Even outlets that actually do have solid geopolitical commentary but advocate for the same path Green Party, PSL, etc are telling people that if they go out and loudly announce their beliefs then reforms will materialize out of thin air. Novara explicitly runs cover for genocide. 972mag and Al Jazeera tier IMO. So yeah on par with Zeteo. Christ I forgot about Mehdi Hasan I've had his stuff blocked for so long.

My issue is more structural than "do these people give me stuff I can occassionally copy-and-paste without everyone getting mad" – they use that stuff to accrue credibility, and the US media apparatus uses that credibility to spread premises which are more important than people objecting or supporting blatantly unpopular moves. Besides, they hit the same notes repeatedly to the point of being noise. Generally they just repost the NYT and say "wow this headline is hypocritical". Like yeah of course it is, traditional outlets like that have no purchase with regular people. That's why they need liberals who complain about the editorial practices of orgs they are half a chili too spicy for to keep them in the loop.
