I was totally expecting that cat video to turn into something else half way through.
It's crazy to me to think, starlink was the only thing keeping russia in this war really. Now that it's been turned off, they look like they're collapsing completely now.
Isn't it great when some random private citizen can alter the outcomes of wars at a whim like that? Makes my tummy go all guilllotiney.
I think what is crucial here is that Ukraine isn't necessarily going to give russia the time to recover, even once they implement a sufficient replacement system the loss of pace will have been metastasized into other problems and failures. This is a race, it isn't just about every second russia loses setting them back, it is about Ukraine pulling ahead and opening up a lead along certain localized parameters that now russia will have to play catch up with.
Or to put it another way, even if the Starlink problem was only a problem for a couple of days, a couple of days still represents a massive clashing and flux of force, setbacks compound quickly into a serious liability from the loss of pace against an opponent that isn't going to hesitate.
When the enemy projects strength they are weak.
When they project this shit, they're really weak.
No mercy!
