A place for optimism, relentless positivity, anti-doomerism, and snuggle sessions.

We're all in this together, and a better world is possible!

This is now also a space for organizing tips for our collective survival as we confront climate change and everything else. Still no doom-posting. We're here to work together, support each other, and boldly face the future.

Rules:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the site-wide Code of Conduct

  2. No doom, no gloom, only bloom. There's plenty of room for doomerism elsewhere. This community is solely for having a positive outlook on the future and spreading good vibes.

  3. Be kind to your fellow users. This also means no arguing in the comm. Arguments and negativity are not conducive to blooming. Constructive discussion is good. No interest-policing. Support your comrades in their joy!

  4. Always share good news. We can't exactly enforce this one, but if you have good news, please share it with us! Keeping happiness and positivity to yourself is the twelfth type of liberalism.

took my 14 y.o. daughter on an overnight beach trip.

It was one of the best times I've had in quite some time. We went waaaaaay down the beach. I let her drive my truck most of the 40 miles down the beach. We made a fire, and grilled hotdogs and ate corn. The corn was out of season so not the best but still. We laid cots in the bed of the truck and laid awake looking at the stars. I have a star/constellation app on my phone so we looked at constellations, and took crappy photos of the Milky Way galaxy with our phones.

Her life is getting busy, while mine is mostly slammed full of shit all the time anyway so my chances to just bond with my little girl and just be are getting fewer and fewer. I cherish the time I get with my baby and this was a good one.

I have a ton of allergies and recently got 7 ink samples and after patch testing, all of them are safe for me big-cool

Im gonna use a different color each month for my journaling/note taking so ill have a little rainbow of my year. I unintentionally used 1 color I already had for January and then switched to a new one for all of February so im already off to a good start!

A now ex friend was really inconsiderate which made me rethink our friendship and then how they reacted to me calling them out solidified us not being friends and im staying strong and not letting myself getting roped back into being friends with them and it feels so good

I signed up for a cool volunteer opportunity for March and also signed up for a movie screening for an activist group near me in an effort to make more friends that are on a similar page to me politically

Gunna reshare one from the general mega:

My indoor tomato plant is finally putting out fruit. I don't think I'm going to get much from it but it's a good proof of concept. I had to aggressively trim it and it has dropped a lot of buds due to the frequent heatwaves. My brother actually wants me to babysit a banana plant of his, and put it in the same spot next to the window. I think it would tolerate the 40 degree heat much better. If not, I'm going to put a small citrus or some chilli plants there and instead go to hydroponic for cherry tomatoes, a lot less effort required
