This chapter was great, especially that impact panel with sommers

Oda used regen abilities just so he could draw a fascist getting their face exploded without it being gore. absolute-cinema

I love the idea that the children's nightmares of Loki and the other monsters were nothing compared to the real thing.

Imu has been beefing with demons for 800 years lmao. His immortality making him only see his past opponents rather than their inherited wills.

Only realized after finishing the chapter that there's a way to read it with the proper two-page spreads on that site. This chapter was painful the way the panels were split. Loki gets to fire off his dragon beam but I can barely tell what's happening lol.

Big lore reveal seems to be that the giants fought against Nika, but is that really Nika?

I think the reveal implies there's been 3 Nikas: Luffy, Joyboy, and the OG Nika who the legend was based on and fought with the previous Niddhoggr

I usually read on weebcentral which has the same mangaplus double page option. Another reason why nobody should read scans (esp TCB scans) is that they don't bother to organize the scanned pages in this way (and also feed it to a machine upscaler) so Oda's art (which has become more busy) looks more messy than it actually is.

Legend and history have been core thematic elements in one piece so it most likely is Nika but not in the way we expect.

Kind of a slow chapter, curious what the implication of Imu's statement is. Are they referring to Niddhoggr from their time or like the fruit itself? Also no Joyboy reaction to Luffy?

The plot of the Holy Knights going to Elbaf and specifically kidnapping and trying to kill the kids and not fighting the indigenous population directly is just what the US is doing to Iran right now. Loki is Operation True Promise 4
