The trick is to murder the youngest bees, and by bees I mean children.

Then, you can use retaliatory airstrikes as an excuse to kill more children. Destroy their industrial infrastructure - agriculture, energy, transport, sewage - and turn their cities (I mean hives) into charnel pits. Use misinformation and armed groups of political opponents to kick off a civil war. Demolish schools, hospitals, mosques, and critical businesses to deprive citizens of a safe place to congregate. Then send in special forces to assassinate anyone successful at organizing numbers of people to resist.

Eventually, you'll kill off all the peop- uh- bees. The human insects. I guess you can call them Bug People.

Calling them insects is a trick pulled from the book of famous genocider Prince Vegeta

Any time I see one of these comics, I do feel like I'm reading one extremely bad guy describing another.

Things are so bad that you can't criticize anything without failing to criticize a million related problems.

The comic is very clearly about one problem, and doesn't mention any other one. Please refrain from assuming the people's opinions on some subject just by the fact that they didn't mention it. (Of course, if you have opinions positively stated about something, fell free to criticize those.)

The comic is very clearly about one problem

More comparing Iranians to insects that I find distasteful

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

The comic is not comparing Iranians to insects.

More desperate families fighting to merely stay alive in broken societies means more children going into sex work.

You should become an author.

You have a way with words.

It'd really well sell in the smut section.

I mean ... I have done quite a few preemptive strikes on wasp nests in my day. Not sure this is the best analogy.

If wasps were at the same intelligence level as humans would you have used a different tactic?

[–] chonglibloodsport@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

If wasps had human-level intelligence we’d all be dead already. The whole planet would be wasp country!

Wasps:

  • reproduce thousands of times faster than humans
  • cooperate on a scale we can’t imagine (eusociality)
  • can fly
  • have venomous stingers but don’t die when they sting you (unlike bees)

Wasps are actually great for gardeners because they fly around murdering every insect they can find (most of which are pest insects eating the garden). If wasps were as smart as humans they’d realize we’re the biggest threat and start wiping us out. The only ones they’d spare would be the gardeners who understand how beneficial they are. They’d wipe out all the non-gardeners and keep all the gardeners but force us to grow plants that attract pests for them to eat.

I, for one, welcome the waspocalypse

[–] chonglibloodsport@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Get out there and start a garden!

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 3 points 1 week ago

That's super insulting for wasps

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 2 points 1 week ago

Yeah ... I think I'm with that other guy. If wasps were at the same intelligence level, we'd all be fucked. They'd be doing preemptive strikes on me.

[–] ruuster13@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Nothing in the middle east is pre-emptive. Instead, it's about how far back in history you have to look to find justification for your aggression.

"Preemptive" isn't a thing, is orwellan for "Unprovoked attack"

"Once the wasps go crazy around here, everybody will be too busy to think about my conviction for Corruption and your long history of kid fucking!"

They should be saying “if we hit this nest, the left will blame each other and let us win”
