I'm hating all the buzz he's getting. His Medicare for "Y'all" plan is a shitty public option that, of course, hurts working-class and poor folks. People are eating it up, and from what I see online, he has successfully convinced people it's just like single payer. Extremely deceptive.

Sidenote: I was watching an Elisabeth Rosenthal discussion on the public option, and she confidently said that it was worse than single payer, and makes single payer harder to achieve. Anyone with some know-how, how is this the case? Do you think people like Talarico are fully aware that they're basically fighting against single-payer?

The thing with Tallarico is that he's better on policy than Crockett. A young black woman getting outflanked on policy by a man is an interesting barometer from the perspective of Democratic Party electoralism, since it represents the shift in the intentions and priorities of their voter base.

They're pretty even from what I've seen.

Her foreign policy is completely evil, his healthcare plan keeps the claim-denial for profit folks involved in healthcare.
