Been watching The Plant Slant and it was in one of his videos and he liked it, so I decided to try it (with half beef and half beans) and it was nice! It's large though, the...size of a 3/4ths cookie sheet. Leftovers were frozen!

I'm gonna be real with you. If there was a crunchwrap this big in front of me, about ten minutes later there would be no crunchwrap in front of me.

Entirely fair! I was tempted by more than the 8th I had, but decided to freeze for later! Future me will be happy past me saved a little!

I should really start using some of Liam's videos for meal prep ideas. He and I have similar opinions about beans.

I'm like you, so I wanted to math this out a bit:

  • First I would replace the beans with refried black beans for more flavor and just slightly more carbs (~8carbs per serving if you divide into 8 pieces) @ 66Cal per serving
  • 1 lb Ground (~1200Cal per pound) @ 150Cal per serving
  • 8 Carb Balance burrito size Tortillas ( 4 Carb & 110Cal each) @ 110Cal per serving (4 carbs)
  • 6 tostadas (I went with Ole` @ 120Cal each and 16 Carbs) @ 90 Cal per serving (12 Carbs)
  • 3 TBSP Sour Cream - (90 CAL & 1Carb) @ 34 Cal
  • 1 TBSP Butter (100Cal) @ 13 Cal
  • 1 Cup Mild Cheddar (440Cal & 4 Carbs) @ 55 Cal
  • Lettuce and Tomato to taste (negligible) @ ~10 Cal per serving

So it's Around 528 Calories and around 26 Carbs. You could bake some tortillas instead of going with corn - it would be around the same calories, but that's like 1.5Carbs per serving vs. 16 for corn tostadas and knocks it down under 500 Calories

Can you please link me the recipe?

::Edit:: and how do you break it into servings? Cut squares like lasagna?

This dude is one of my favorite cooktubers.

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yes this one, not the one with the chicken that was posted elsewhere yes yes.

[–] Protoknuckles@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

I made the chicken one and it was good! I wanted to see how this one would be different.

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Someone linked it! Yes. I cut it into 8ths, so down the middle long wise them three cuts. It wasn't very easy with the tostadas in there, but it did work!

[–] Entertainmeonly@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Did you remember the BEeAnS?

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yes yes, I did half beef and half beans!

Knew it, clearly you're a shill for big bean. 🤭

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

I wish they'd send me beans! Alas, unpaid shill.

Its tasty and makes leftovers! I recommend it!

[–] ghost_towels@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago

Ha! We make the regular size ones every now and then. I showed this to the family and they were all a little horrified. But also intrigued…

~~[The video]~~(https://youtube.com/shorts/3MrlXAbpCJ0)

Edit: see response below for the correct video

Single serving crunch wraps are perfect just freeze the ingredients in single serving portions if you want.

This is just excessive.

Sheet Pan Crunchwrap, to the tune of "I Can't Help Myself".

[–] Onomatopoeia@lemmy.cafe 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ok you can't just lay that out there without explaining

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Explaining what? There's been links to the video to make it! It's just a large taco bell crunchwrap, in a sheet. I portioned it, we ate some, then froze the rest and ate some today!
