Plot twist: it turns out to be a ploy for the three to make boatloads of money

Is that not Data? Can't place the scene but I wouldn't think Lore would be acting so awkward as he's had plenty of time to adapt to emotions.

[–] bhamlin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's Lore. You can tell by the contractions.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Definitely a secret subplot running throughout the entire series where Lore has replaced Data on Enterprise. You can tell because of the contractions.

Is there any less believable thing that came out of the writers room than "supercomputer level intelligence beyond anything else 24th century humans have ever created can't process an apostrophe"?

I mean it's entirely possible he CAN and just doesn't WANT to. Gotta have the things that make you unique, after all!

Oh! Makes sense (it's been aaages since we've seen star trek of any sort).

OUR both brothers

[–] BeUnique@lemmy.zip 32 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Third brother is the youngest by like 4 years and the other two brothers are only 2 years apart. Nobody actually has superpowers but the oldest brother just secretly fell into some money and is a bit crazy and impulsive.

I'd watch that! Make it a limited series!

I was thinking the oldest was the mayor....

the middle child is obviously the villain.

the middle child is obviously the villain

Hey! I resemble that remark!

[–] BeUnique@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I remember that remark from my own personal experience of being the middle child, of course he's the villain!

[–] oyfrog@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago (1 children)

...so basically Metal Gear Solid with fewer steps and some comic relief.

[–] BeUnique@lemmy.zip 11 points 2 days ago

Also a lot less fucking stealth missions!

[–] jackintosh@feddit.nl 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The plot of the Daniel Craig Bond movies in a nutshell.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I musta missed one if Blowfeldt turned out to he his brother... 🤔

[–] jackintosh@feddit.nl 1 points 2 days ago

Apparently you missed Spectre. Spoiler alert!

[–] radiofreebc@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Sounds like the Adidas and Puma (Dassler brothers) story.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Who was the third brother they were pranking by checks notes manufacturing and selling athletic shoes? 🤔

[–] jackintosh@feddit.nl 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, he was famously opposed to shoes. Had a final shoelution and everything!

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Venture bros.

this is a lot like US politics but instead of the mayor, it's the people.
