West Asia is the region that includes the Arab peninsula, Levant, Iran and Turkiye, basically the term "middle east" without the historical baggage of the term, my bad I didn't clear it up
This region is also known as the near east, because the world is silly.
near, middle and far east are late 19th century terms. near east was the ottoman empire, far east was china and everything in between was technically middle east but it usually only referred to iran, arabian penisula and afghanistan (british india was excluded).
Near east was anything west of the Persian gulf that wasn't the west, middle east was anything east of it until we got to the far east.
The "Near east" would include the Arabian peninsula, Iraq, Iran, the Levant, Cyprus and Egypt.
So yeah "Ottoman Empire" if you're extremely generous

The West and the Easts implies that they are West and East of something, so, which do you think is supposed to be the center of the world in this system? Greek-occupied Constantinople or European-occupied Jerusalem?
