Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

All they have to do is to impeach him. Even the Democrats would help with that, accidentally...

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 11 points 7 hours ago

Well, the rest of the country wants him to shut up about it AND stop wasting time and money on it.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

Treating this country like everything he’s ever owned: disposable.

[–] danekrae@lemmy.world 75 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

But he already admitted that he doesn't care about americans financial situation.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 18 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Magats have short memories.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (1 children)

They have no memories. They just actively wait to be told what to think by their pedophiliatic masters.

Every MAGA republican is a cuck.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 0 points 7 hours ago

A wild misrepresentation of them will not help you deal with them.

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 15 points 18 hours ago

They don’t even hear those quote on Fox Propaganda.

[–] jtrek@startrek.website 25 points 16 hours ago

Republicans can fuck themselves off a cliff. They enable this. It tickles their stupid "in group good our group had" broken brains.

Note they don't want him to STOP, just don't talk about them. I don't want to hear a word from these cretins about wasting money ever again.

[–] ShellMonkey@piefed.socdojo.com 48 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

He's been treating the country as his personal piggy bank and plaything the whole time. Now they get worried when their job is on the line.

[–] Xanthobilly@lemmy.world 30 points 19 hours ago

You know, fuck ‘em. They still won’t put him in check.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 18 points 19 hours ago

The voice of reason seems to be a very late bloomer there.

But I want nothing that might increase the GOP's chances of winning. Keep on digging your own grave and never listen to your slightly more reasonable pals!

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 8 points 18 hours ago

Then every reporter needs to get him talking more about it.

[–] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 10 points 19 hours ago

The only use for a GOP rep is target practice, skinning practice, or batting practice.

[–] tracker@sh.itjust.works 9 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

There is no force on earth that can make this orange turd shut up (unless he is napping)

[–] adarza@piefed.ca 4 points 17 hours ago

there is one other force that can make him shut up. one that has been absent for far too long.

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 5 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Sadly, I've been hoping for a Trump vs. GOP fight since 2015.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 4 points 14 hours ago

Oh it's happening all the time, it's just that it's never enough to topple the unholy thing.

First time I noticed was when the trials against him were still ongoing and it wasn't clear whether he'd run again.

But I'm sure it's happened before, e.g. during Covid.

And more recently wrt Epstein files - quite a lot of his staff are red-pilled.

Unfortunately potus has so much power that - being ruthless enough - he can just fire whoever he disagrees with and keep only yes-people.

[–] einlander@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

Trump's Folly's.

[–] wasabi_noir@lemmy.zip 3 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Fatty McBitchtits needs to quit throwing money around after all the horseshit with those fucking cunts from doge. If we don’t have money for cancer research, get fucked when it comes to all this vanity shit. I can’t wait to have sloppy diarrhea wherever they drop his bloated corpse.

[–] bluegreenpurplepink@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

Damn. You know things are bad when people are hoping for "sloppy diarrhea" to be used as a weapon of political discourse.

[–] Folstar@lemmus.org 2 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

If only there was some way to, you know, ask GOP officials and candidates questions where they are forced to anger Trump or side with horribly unpopular decisions. If only.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 15 hours ago

Did they just recently hear about this?
