Onimusha: Way of the Sword is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on Sept 25, 2026.

Witness Musashi's harrowing story as he faces off against his destined rival, Ganyru. Master the art of the blade and hone your techniques against a legion of powerful foes with precise parries and powerful Oni Armaments.

Walk the path of the samurai with the standard controls or feel the blade in your hands with fluid motions using Joy-Con 2. The choice is yours.

I got super into Onimusha 1 and 3 back in the day (I played 2 but it was pretty meh). I could be talking out of my ass but this one looks like the battle system is Souls-inspired? Kinda feeling lukewarm on it.

I had more of a spectacle fighter / action fighter vibe with it.

Like Metal Gear Rising or something close to it. Honestly I'm pretty stoked for it - I mostly hope for a somewhat modern Onimusha 3 - I didn't really get too warm with the Remaster of 1 'though so I'm not 100% sure.
