Seeing Scary Movie has the potential of encouraging them to restart that trend of obnoxious satire which was so dominant before Marvel slop took over.

Skill issue, I like obnoxious satire
But could you do that to me? Could you hurt a pretentious cinephile who insists on watching 3+ hour movies and commenting on the lighting? I'd say I have a family but I don't because of that.
I do it because I am you but part of my formative years were spent watching slop like Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans so I really do enjoy when a movie is just an low-brow parody/satire.
I also just enjoy when a movie is categorically awful if my two viewings of Megaopolis in IMAX are any indication. Something very funny about dragging a bunch of friends to a movie I know is bad (because I saw it by myself a week prior) and going "trust me it's by Coppola and has Shia Lebouf in it", walking into a nearly empty auditorium & them demanding I reimburse them for their tickets when we're walking out of the theater after the movie
Pitch Meeting for Megalopolis was very funny

As the resident horror movie enjoyer on this site, I'd go Backrooms - with the caveat that I thought it was the best of the 3 because it spoke directly to some personal shit I'm going through in my relationship.
Obsession is probably the real stronger of the 2. I enjoyed it as well, not groundbreaking, but fun.
Scary Movie was....ehhhh. Not my bag, but better than I expected
Obsession
tbh I think you should pick Backrooms. You might be skeptical at first and think its silly, which it kinda is -- but it has value in having a more anti-capitalist sentiment. decaying empire sentiment. Plus its kinda cool if you think of it more as a labyrinth 🤔 just a modern day one.
Obsession is genuinely upsetting, but I really loved the performances. Apparently the audience laughs a lot.
backrooms could be a side chapter in inland empire. that's what it feels like to me
actually the most compelling review i've heard of backrooms thus far....i guess i'll flip a coin on it and obsession
Sure, the first 2 nerds say are good, the last one i keep hearing is bad btw
Obsession
should've called it Funny Movie tbqh
The Backrooms rips trust me it’s a good film
Obsession was good. Torrented a video camera recording of it so probs wasnt the best method lol
I really enjoyed the backrooms 👍
Haven't seen the others though
