As an Australian I find the idea of growing prickly pear in your backyard hilarious. It's an incredibly invasive feral species.
However, since I also have bamboo growing in my backyard here in Australia, I can't throw stones, can I?
It would be very hard to hit Wisconsin with a stone from Australia!
Do you guys eat them? They are delicious in salsa and salads.
